 • Volume 1 of 3: Facsimile •

While devised as independent works, there are three volumes in the series concerned with this manuscript: [53], [58] and [61].

This volume has collotypes of 300 leaves. The manuscript is of the eighth century, of disputed provenance, possibly from Northern Italy but more likely from South Eastern France. It was discovered at Bobbio in 1686 by Mabillon, but has no organic link with Bobbio. From Bobbio it passed into the possession of the abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Pres in Paris and at the Revolution entered the national collections.
