The MS, housed of course in the British Library collections in London is associated with the name of Leofric, Bishop of Crediton 1046-1050, and then from the transfer of his see, Bishop of Exeter 1050-1072. Although known as a collectar, it incorporates many of the features of a liber ordinarius.
